What is The MLB

The MLB is a Organization made up of 30 teams. There are 15 teams on the American League side, and 15 teams on the National league side. The MLB was founded 1869, in Cincinatti Ohio. It was Founded by The National Association of Base Ball Players. It was the first organization governing American baseball. In the MLB there is a Opening Day, and Opening week for each team. This is the First couple games, after the sprig trainig has ended. Then in about the middle of the season, there is a All Star Game, and a Home Run Derby. The All Star Game is the game where the best players from each side of the league are picked to ply against eachother. The Fans and the Players vote for who will be in the All Star Game. The Homerun Derby is a Derby, is a Derby played to see who can hit the most Home Runs. Eight players are seeded based on their season home run totals. Then After the All Star Break, players start playing again, until the Post Season. The Post Season, is where the Teams with the best records play, for a Chance to win the World Series. In the Postseason, 16 teams make the Playoffs. For the Postseason, there are a Couple series they have to play through. They have to play though the Wildcard Series, Division Series, Championship Series, and The Wolrd Series.

The 2020 MLB season

This year was a weird Year more The MLB playoffs, and Infact the Whole Season. The 2020 MLb Season did not start until Late July. Each Team only Played around 60 Games Unless they made it to the playoffs. Several teams started of Hot, But there streak did not last long. The Colrado Rockies Started off hot with 7 wins in their First 10 games. BUt shortly AFter their streak Ended when their Inner Legue Rivals, The LA Dodgers Took the Division Lead. Shortly after The Season Started several Players were on The IL ( Injured List ) because of covid. PLayers Were Leaving the Team for A couple Days left and Right, and Games were being cancelled. While All this Covid Stuff was going on, There the BLM riots and Lots of Other things going on, And so games were being cancelled because of that aswell.

After A short 60 game season playoffs started. There were 16 teams in The playoffs, 8 Representing each League. It started off with the wild card games. In the Wild Card Series 8 Series are played and there are 8 teams from each league.Dodgers Beat Brewers, Padres Beat Cardinals,Marlins Beat Cubs, Braves Beat Reds, Rays Beat Blue Jays, Yankees beat Indians, Athletcs beat White Sox, Astros beat Twins. After The wild Card games Ended the Division Series Games would Evetually Start. In the Division Series there are 8 MLB teams.Lots of People thought it would Be A close series Between the Dodgers and Padres. But the Dodgers pulled away and swept the series. After The Dodgers Beat The Padres, there was hope that they might win the series. After a Week of The division series the Championship series was played.

The Dodgers Played The Braves and Rays Played the Astros. The Braves got Off to a Hot Start winnin there First two Games of the Series. On the Other side of The Series the Rays were off to a hot start. The Astros would Comeback down 3-0 In the Sries and Force a Game 7. It would Only be The Second Team in History to Comeback and Win for down 3-0 I the Series. The firdst team being the Red Sox. But the Rays would Barely Pull out the Win. The Braves Blue there 3-1 Lead and Eventually Lost The series to The Dodgers.

After The Championship Series, World Series Started. The Rays Would Be playing The Dodgers. In The First Game the Dodgers would Win 8-3 over The Rays. But would'nt Stop the Rays. The Rays would Go on to win game 2 of the series. The Series would Go back and forth between the players for a couple games. But on The 4th game of the series the Rays would win In a Walk off from Brett Philips, when we Would deliver a 2 run single to win the game for His Club. After that game, the Rays lost there Momentum and Eventually lost the World Series to the Dodgers. The last time the Dodgers had Won was 32 years ago. The Dodgers and MLB, would Name the MVP of the Series, Cory Seiger.
