CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship

The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship was established in 2006 to provide financial assistance to African-American or Black students who are pursuing a degree in the visual arts. The Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship provides financial assistance and promotion of Asian-American college students pursuing a major in the performing, visual arts, journalism and/or mass communications. ESA Foundation Scholarship Program for Minority Students

The ESA Foundation scholarships are offered for full-time undergraduate study at accredited four-year colleges and universities in the USA. Up to 30 scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded annually, 15 to graduating high school seniors and 15 to current college students.

AWMF and Loreen Arbus Foundation Focus on Disability Scholarship

The AWM Foundation's partnership with the Loreen Arbus Foundation focuses on the achievements and contributions of citizens with disabilities. This journalist scholarship program consists of one $2,500 scholarship, made payable directly to the winning student's educational institute. The winning applicant must also be able to attend AWMF's Gracies Awards Luncheon in June in New York City to receive the scholarship.

Hope College Distinguished Artist Awards - Visual Arts

Each year at Hope College up to sixty Distinguished Artist Award (DAA) scholarships are given to students with strong academic records and outstanding creative abilities in art, dance, music, theatre or creative writing. Renewable for four years, the DAA's provide eligible students with $2,500 each year toward their college costs. DAA recipients also take part in a variety of opportunities set up to increase their creative experience and technical knowledge in their chosen field.

Requirements:

Students are expected to maintain a 2.60 grade point average and enroll in a minimum of one studio art or art history course each semester.

Recipients must attend department-sponsored lectures given by visiting artists and scholars, and also, submit at least one work to the annual student show.

Each year, recipients must submit a portfolio of their work, including a resume of their activities during the previous year. To determine whether or not an award will be renewed, the department will review each portfolio and interview each recipient individually

Design something creative that illustrates your passion for your specific creative field. This can be done in absolutely any medium (drawing, painting, animation, digital media, film, etc.). The Tenfold Initiative Scholarship

Lisa Laine Miller, began her journey as an artist struggling to make ends meet. Unbelievably, two of her high school art teachers personally contributed to her first college courses and the inspiration for the future Tenfold Initiative was born. Through this, we were inspired to create The Tenfold Initiative to honor the dedicated teachers and mentors in our lives. Particularly, Lisa's own high school art teacher, Jan Dewey, who leaves an everlasting impact nearly 20 years later.

Requirements:

The Tenfold Initiative Scholarship is available to a high school senior (graduating before July) who is located in the Central Ohio region. Students must be enrolled or accepted at a university, college, or art school as a declared major in a visual arts program for the upcoming school year. NACIS Student Dynamic Map Competition

There are two competition categories:

Interactive Maps- An interactive map offers more than just the traditional representation of spatial information; it provides tools that may be used for navigation, retrieving more information, transforming the information, and many other possibilities.

Animated Maps- An animated map displays a sequence or a series of cartographic views of spatial information. The challenge is to convey the sense of transition and something significant about seeing the information in animated form.
