The striped bass is one of the most sought after fish in the Northeast. They live in both fresh and saltwater. They can spawn multiple times, which means they are an abundant fish people can constantly fish for. The main reason people fish for striped bass is because they aren't considered as overfished anymore. The ferocity of the fish when it finds out it is hooked, gets your adrenaline pumping.
