In survival the objective is to survive the constant stream of mobs trying to attack you gradually advance towards the final boss: the ender dragon. There is a veriation of survival called hardcore where you cannot revive after you die.

It won the VGX award for Best Independent Game in 2011. It also won the BAFTA Games Special Award in 2012. Minecraft has nearly 140 million monthly active users, a 30% year-over-year increase. The total revenue that Minecraft has accumulated over the last 10 years has been 3,125 million USD.
