You will need a shotgun or a bow or the weapon of your choice. For a good priced and good gun the benelli supernova is a good choice, cause it shoots 3 1/2 inch shells. Then you will need a choke and shells. I would use a indian creek turkey choke and TSS shells'll need a few calls, I use the zink X lady and zink wicked lady. They work really good. You will also need camo. You can use a gillie suit or camo clothes. I use the Titan mossy oak green leaf gillie suit. You will also need a few decoys.
If its spring you want to be up before sunrise and on a high point and wait and listen for a bird to Gobble. After you hear the bird grave your gear and head to it. I would set up about roughly anywhere from 50-100 yards away from them or even farther. Once you got set up sneek out about 30-40 yards and put out your decoys if you got any.
After your all set up get out your calls and let out a few yelps and get them to repsond. And keep callling. I prefer to use a turkey mouth diagram so I can walk and hold my gun,and call and have my hands free. If you notice hes gobbling but not coming in thes he's probaly already on a hen. I like to mix it up and use some yelps clucks and cuts. In my oipinion the best sound is a spring thundering Gobbler. I got my first Gobbler at 11 and Im addicted now.
