Relaxing and De-stressing Methods

“Life isn’t as serious as the mind makes it out to be.” –Eckhart Tolle

Being Outdoors

You might have noticed that the outdoors tend to relax you. But why is that?

Being in green spaces actually reduces the stress hormone your body produces, called cortisol. It also increases the production of dopamine and boosts the levels of endorphin, both of which promote happiness.

Painting

Painting is a well known hobby and job, but how does it help you relax?

Painting allows your mind to relax and let go of problems that make you stressed. It allows you to be creative while relieving said stress. This helps you be happier and healthier.

Looking at Stars

If you have ever gone out on a starry night and suddenly felt tranquil, it's not just you!

Simply finding time to go out and see the stars can relax you. The world slows down and the hustle and bustle of everyday life is quiet.

Reading

This one is for all my fellow readers out there!

Reading has been proven to reduce stress by up to 68%. Opening a book and immersing your thoughts in it relaxes you. You forget about the stress in your real life and instead focus on the book and it's story.
