A tamale is a traditional Mesoamerican dish, made of masa or dough, which is steamed in a corn husk or banana leaf. The wrapping can either be discarded prior to eating or used as a plate.It's made in many places around the world, but you can eat them in Mexico too!

Mexican Elote

Elote is a dish that is like corn on the cob but has more flavor. It is considered a street dish because it is mostly sold on the street. Elote is made with corn on the cob, slathered with mayonnaise, seasoned with chili powder and fresh lime juice, sprinkled all over with salty Cotija cheese and cilantro.

Chillaquiles is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of corn tortillas cut in quarters and lightly fried. Salsa is poured over the crisp tortilla triangles. The mixture is simmered until the tortilla starts softening. Pulled chicken is sometimes added to the mix.It's garnished with crema or cream, crumbled with fresh chesse, raw onions and avocado slices. Mmm am I right!
