Playoffs

Divisional Round

The NFL Playoffs have been wild this year. A little bit of Foles Magic, upsets, and blowouts. This weekend, we have the Eagles going against the Saints in New Orleans. Nobody has ever beaten Drew Brees and Sean Payton at home during the playoffs but will the Eagles and Nick Foles ruin that? Will the Saints high powered offense, lead by Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara, be enough to beat the Eagles and end Foles Magic?

I'm predicting Saints 23 Eagles 20

Then there's Chiefs v.s. Colts in Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes has been outstanding this year and will likely win MVP but he'll have a challenge this week v.s. the Indianapolis Colts defense led by Darius Leonard.

I'm going to say Cheifs 38 Colts 17

Then there's Chargers at Patriots. The Patriots haven't been as great as we thought they'd be, but they were still good and got the 1st round playoff bye. The Chargers on the other hand, came out of nowhere and were great this season. Can they stop Tom Brady and Bill BEllichick at home? I don't think they will.

I'm thinking Patriots 35 Chargers 28

Last is Rams v.s. Cowboys. The Cowboys surprised me last weekend beating the Seahawks. Zeke has been great this year and should play a huge role in this game, but it will be hard against this great Rams defense led by Aaron Donald. On the other side, the rams offense led by Todd Gurley, C.J. Anderson, and Jared Goff should blow past the Cowboys defense this week.

I'm predicting Rams 37, Cowboys 20.

Confrence Championship Round

Before we start talking about football, I'd like to say that I did really good last week with my picks. I was a perfect 4-0 with teams, but the scores were a little different than I thought they'd be. Anyways, we have some great matchups this week to decide who goes to Super Bowl 53.

First, we have Todd Gurley and the Rams coming into New Orleans and facing Drew Brees and the Saints. Both teams are coming off victories last week over some good teams so this should be a great game. I'm going to give a slight edge to Drew Brees and the Saints because their offense is so high powered and their defense has been playing great recently. It's going to be a very close game. Another reason I'm going with the Saints is because Drew Brees and Sean Payton together have never been beaten at home during the playoffs and they kept the streak going last week against the Eagles.

I'm predicting Saints 21, Rams 17

Next, Tom Brady and the Patriots are traveling to Kansas City to take on the Cheifs at Arrow Head. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have always been great together during the playoffs, but they'll have a challenge this weekend against Patrick Mahomes and the Cheifs who have been really good this year. Patrick Mahomes will likely win MVP this season and his outstanding play could lead them past the Patriots and to Super Bowl 53.

I'm thinking Cheifs 45, Patriots 35.

Super Bowl

Well, I picked wrong in both games which really stinks since both games were won over terrible calls by the reffs. The missed pass interference call against the Rams that would've won the Saints the game was terrible, and the muffed punt overturn call and the terrible roughing the passer call agianst the Cheifs lost them the game. This Super Bowl should be Saints v.s. Cheifs but congrats to the Rams and Patriots making it to Super Bowl 53. Both teams had great seasons and are great teams. Alright, now it's time to talk football. Both of these teams have good quarterbacks, runningbacks, recievers, and defenses, so it should make for a great matchup. This will be Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's 9th Super Bowl together since 2001, and Jared Goff and Sean McVay's 1st ever. The age differences between quarterbacks Tom Brady and Jared Goff is 17 years, a record. The age difference between coaches Bill Belichick is 33 years, another record. The Rams secondary, led by Aquib Talib, will have a big challenge against Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, and The Gronk. Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh will have to get after Tom Brady and stop the run game, led by Sony Michelle, to have any chance. On the other side of the ball, the Patriots will have to stop Todd Gurley and the surprisingly good new add C.J. Anderson to even keep the game close. Also, don't sleep on Jared Goff and the Rams passing game, he can sling it and he's got guys that can catch it.

It's prediction time, and this is a big one. I'm going with the underdog Rams winning 31-28.

Well...

I was way off. This was probably the most boring super bowl EVER. The final score was Patriots 13, Rams 3. Way off from my 32-28 prediction. Well... Tom Brady now ahs 6 rings.
