Introduction

I will be telling you about how cars have evolved from the 1900's to the 2000's. It has all started when a man named Gerald Ford had created the car brand "Model T". This is the first car brand that has ever been created. From this period there have been more car brands which have been created. Cars have been created by combustion steam engines to be able to move forward on roads, and it was just a gasoline engine. Over time cars have been powered by electricity, and not just fuel. Back then people could not use electric headlights on their cars, so they used acetylene gas headlamps which became the auto industry standard. People were not as interested in the automobiles until World War ll had started, there was a sudden increase in demand of auto mobiles in Europe and other parts of the world. Over many decades there has been many more features have been added to cars along with controls as well. I have always been fascinated with cars, this exercise gave me an opportunity to learn more about cars and put together a story about how cars have evolved. Cars enitially started as electric car surprisingly, although Model was built on steam. Most car industries evolved to make use of gasoline engines for almost 200 years, then came the hybrids and now we are back on electric cars. I hope you all find this website interesting and informative.

History

The first automobiles has actually run on steam and electricity, and the first vehicles and been developed in the 1700s. The earliest vehicles had been powered by steam. The the 19th century inventors began to create the first internal combustion engines, which was an early electric motor, called the "de Rivas engine", and it was being improved on some internal combustion engines. Production cars stated showing up in 1887 when a man named Carl Benz had created several of the same identical copies of a gaosoline-powered automobile. Gerald's Ford's Model T because the first mass-produced automobile moving on a moving assembly line.

The journey of cars is now at the top most inventions of using high capacity batteries and self driving technology. The Tesla company has made significant progress in this area. Here is more information about Tesla: TESLA

Environment impact

It has been learnt that there is a wide range of environmental issues from using gasoline cars. The cars have been becoming increasingly efficinet in reducing the carbon emissions along with incresing the fuel efficiency.
Vehicle type Fuel efficiency (L/100 km) CO2 emission (g/km)
2010 2030 2010 2030
Petrol ICEVs 7.0 5.5 165 130
Diesel ICEVs 5.2 4.1 135 106
Petrol hybrid 5.0 3.9 118 93
Electric vehicle (kWh) 21.0 16.0

Conclusion

The entire world is now aware of the impact of using gasoline cars to the environment. There has been a lot of progess made in the technology to use the most cleanest fuel, electricity to drive cars. I just hope people realize it sooner and save our earth.
