The tale of joseph desaulniers

Overview

The photographer is a time and space manipulating hunter. Joseph grants the power of two space times and creates a static camera world with his cameras placed all over the map. After taking a photo, he will create a camera world replicating the survivors and the environment from that moment. In the camera world, if joseph hits survivor's mirror image once, they'll recieve a 0.5 damage. if he incapicitates the survivors mirror image, They'll recieve one damage. If he put the survivors mirror image on a rocket chair, They'll be incapicitated once the mirror image ends. Every time the camera world ends, all cipher machines decoding progress will be cut in half. His recorded moment ability allows him to enter and exit the camera world freely allowing him to do suprise attacks when survivors are decoding cipher machines or rescuing someone from the rocket chairs. His second ability timejump allows him to record the path he passed in the last 15 seconds and he can return to any point in the path.

Backstory

Coming from an affluent aristocratic family, Joseph, also known as Ex-Count Desaulniers, was born in France alongside his twin brother, Claude. During the early years of his life, it is implied his family was forced to flee France and move to England, likely because of the mass emigration to Britain during the French Revolution. Not too long after, his brother passed away from illness, and the pain of losing his dear twin and trusted companion caused Joseph to become emotionlessly absorbed with art and photography. He hoped that he would be able to save the appearances of the people and objects he took photos of to liven up his pictures. Despite being arrogant, biased, and overly sentimental, the count was a wealthy and well-respected man, his French accent and elegance alluring to the many people who were willing to model for his hobby. However, suspicions and rumors about the now-elderly Joseph began to spread amongst the maids and workers of the Desaulniers Manor when the population of the hamlet began to drop rapidly. Now seemingly slipping into a dark place, a panic-stricken mob forced their way into Joseph's residence, but the old gentleman was nowhere to be seen. On the wall of his studio, however, were all kinds of lifelike portraits of people that seemed to be looking right at them; it seemed that Joseph's shutter took more than photos, after all.

Brief description of Identity V the game

Identity V is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror video game developed and published by NetEase Games. It was released in July 2018 for mobile devices. It is free to download in App Store and Google Play. It follows a detective named Orpheus as he slowly unravels the mystery behind a mysterious killing game within a manor. With a unique artstyle and quality gameplay,i would say identity V is a pretty good game. It might be a horror game but it is very family-friendly. Identity V is just another game but it follows a rather...peculiar storyline. The lore behind Identity V is quite bizarre in my opinion. which makes the game even more entertaining. now, speaking of the lore, this brings us on our next topic, the main story. i will be explaining the part of the story that has been discovered during the time of identity v's existence.

The main story

The main story for the game Identity V is told through the perspective of the ex-novelist detective, Orpheus, who has been commissioned to find Mr. Reichenbach's missing daughter. However, the mystery deepens as he finds and reads a series of mysterious diaries within Oletus Manor. It soon becomes apparent that a strange game was held within the manor, where people risk their lives in order to obtain a wish or reward of their deepest desire. It also becomes clear that Orpheus has his own secrets...

Prologue

Upon starting the game for the first time, players will go through the main story while learning the mechanics part of the Tutorial. This page transcribes the plot and dialogue from these non-repeatable scenes, while the gameplay quests are detailed on the Tutorial page. The opening cutscene starts with a brown-haired man driving down a winding forest road, as he explains who he is and where he is going; My name is Orpheus. Once a novelist, but after losing my memory, I couldn't complete any valuable writing. Now I'm just a private detective with no clients. Until, I received this strange request: investigate an infamous estate and find a man's lost daughter. Besides the check, it was the name on the letter that intrigued me. Not 'Orpheus,' but [Player Name]. An alias that almost nobody knew, but me. Intrigued by the mystery, Orpheus arrives at the manor in the middle of a storm, and enters the large building through its front doors.

Scene-One: New owner

"After nearly half a day on the road, I have finally arrived at the manor mentioned in the commission letter. Due to the unexpected storm, the dilapidated main house in the huge manor became my first destination. As I entered the main house, I found that most of the rooms inside were in disrepair due to years of neglect. The rain and cold kept urging me to leave this place. Until I opened the door of the living room…"

Scene-Two: The Clue

"When the wall stopped rotating, about a hundred books that looks almost exactly the same came into focus. Intuition told me that the page that I was holding in my hand came from one of these books. And it was this simple fact that astounded me——"

Scene-Three: The Memory

"Memories and emotions surged."

Scene-Four: The Dislocation

"Dislocated identities, dislocated bodies, dislocated souls. The dislocation of thyself. Perhaps these were all just coincidences. But there must be a contradictions. If the contradictions weren’t about me, then there must be someone else. And I have to find this mastermind."
