Tip:mix 1 cup of milk and 1 tbsp of distilled vinegar, let set for 5 minutes. BOOM, you have yourself buttermilk
1.Preheat oven to 350F and grease(oil) three 9 inch x 2 inch round pans.
2.In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. In another bowl, whisk together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vineger, and vanilla extract.
3.Using a stand mixer, mix together the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined and a smooth batter forms.
4.Divide the cake batter evenly into the prepared pans. Place pans into the oven evenly spaced apart. Bake for about 30 minutes, rotating the pans about halfway through the cooking process. They are done when a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. When done, let cool and then take out of pans. Enjoy!
