Susan Wojcicki (July 5, 1968 – August 9, 2024) was a former CEO of YouTube who passed away at the age of 56 of lung cancer. She made $800M at the 2024 America's Self-Made Women Net Worth based on her self-made source of wealth with Google.
Wojcicki was born in Santa Clara, California, and was married with Dennis Troper with five children; one son named Marco passed away at the age of 19 due to a drug overdose.
Wojcicki started out as a photojournalist back at India, capturing significant moments for stories; experienced an influence for her later work in YouTube. That way, she joined Google in 1999 with her goal to establish Google searches for the marketing innovations. As she switched to YouTube in 2006, she was CEO from 2014 to 2023. Thus, her health will be taken care of herself after Neal Mohan took the role as a YouTube CEO.
Wojcicki was lately diagnosed with non-small cell cancer, a type of primary form of lung cancer, for two years. Dennis Troper shared Wojcicki's death in Facebook at first, then Sundar Pichai, the current Google CEO, shared the same news through such social media, like X, as a respect to Wojcicki's death.
