Easter

Easter is one of my favorite holidays because I like about the bunnies, baby chickens, the Easter bunny, and the baskets full with colorful eggs and candy. Although it seems like this it actually holds a religious meaning. Easter is a holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, which my family celebrate it as part of our religion. I especially like the decoration on the eggs that are really detailed and fragile.

What it is

Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary (Wikepedia). If you're asking what the bunny and eggs have to do with this, according to Discovery News, since ancient times, eggs and rabbits have been a symbol of fertility, while spring has been a symbol of rebirth. So even though rabbits don't lay eggs, the association of these symbols was almost natural.

How to celebrate:

In my occasion my family and I celebrate by going to a church and pray while at home I like to put many decoration and annoy my parents to get me a bunny or a baby chicken as part of the holiday. (I actually want it for myself). People celebrate Easter in various ways, including attending church services, exchanging gifts, enjoying festive meals with family and friends, and participating in Easter egg hunts. Easter fancy costumes are a popular tradition that adds a touch of whimsy and fun to the holiday.
