The little dragon primary school was the first montessori daycare started in the early 1990s. In october 2000, it was formally bought and managed by madam Tshering Yeden,with decades of rich teaching experiences. She was the first bhutanese educationist to be trained as a monteessori teacher in 1980s.
The school continued with montessori approach of learing until 2003 and eventaully grown to 300 children. The school is the first private school to be established in the country. The school was added with another important figure with an appointment of Madam Tashi Chhoezom Namgyel as the principal of the school. Apart from holding a post graduate certificate in education from national institute of edcation, Samtse, she also served as a teacher in various goverment schools for neary a decade and brought along rich experiences and techniques of modern teaching and learning skills.
Under her leadership, the school has a team of hard working and passionate educators progressing towards making a difference in the life of every child, thereby contributing towards nations bulding in its own small way.

I like my former school alot. My school is great. There is no bullying of the younger students, no fighting, and there are many good friends. The teachers are all great, friendly and teaches us very well.
I studied at the Little Dragon Primary school for seven years from PP till class six. Besides studying I love participating in the cultural activities. Since my 3rd standard I have been singing during the shcool's occasion and cultural programmes. When I was in 5th standard, I won the voice of little Dragon. I also participated in the Chikthuen programme organised by the Bhutan Broascasting Service during the National Lock down when i was in 6th standard. But sadly we dont have class 7 so I have to go to another school and thats how I landed up in Zilukha Middle Secondary School.
