Five Nights at Freddy's 1

Before Release

The first Five Nights at Freddy's game was created on August 8th, 2014. The first installment of the franchise was made because critics have said the characters in his previous games (which were not horror games) looked like animatronics. This may have sparked the idea for FNAF. during its development, a Kickstarter was created with a goal of $10,000. It was canceled a few days later after no money was donated.

Release

When the demo for Five Nights at Freddy's was released on Steam Greenlight, which is where people put their games if they want them to be buyable on the Steam store, it was immediately picked up by many popular YouTubers, such as Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and PewDiePie. The game was accepted on Steam Greenlight and gained many positive reviews from critics. This success inspired him to continue this franchise.

Gameplay

In the first Five Nights at Freddy's game, you play as Mike Schmit with a job as a nightguard for a children's pizzeria. You have to look over the 4 animatronics in the pizzeria. Freddy the Bear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Fox. You have to survive from 12 AM to 6 AM. That's right, survive. The animatronics have mistaken you for a naked endoskeleton, which is what is inside the animatronic suits. They are attempting to stuff you inside of one of their animatronic suits, which contain many wires and metal poles. You'd die on the spot! You have 2 doors, a light for each of those doors, and cameras to track the animatronics. All of these are used to defend yourself. You'll have to do this for 5 nights, with all the animatronics getting more and more aggressive. Oh, did I mention you have limited power?
