Scratch games that I have made.

This year in ICT class, we used a program called Scratch to make games! We made a Cat Double jump game, a Daleks game, a Rainbow lines game, a Asteroids game, and a Fruit slicer game. They were all really fun to make, so go to Al Sweigart's YouTube channel to see some tutorials!

Cat Double jump

The Cat Double Jump game was the first thing I ever coded and shared to Scratch. With this project, I learned how to code:

Gravity

A wraparound

A change of background

Keypresess

Jumping

Double Jumping

The Daleks game

The second game I ever created was a Daleks game. I learned how to:

Create a teleport mechanism that lets to teleport somewhere random around the stage.

Code a five-second cooldown for the teleport mechanism.

Draw and code a shield that protects the cat from the enemies for 1 second. There is a cooldown of 10 seconds before you can shield again.

Rainbow Lines

One of my more simple games was this really cool rainbow lines game. In it, I learned how to:

• Create patterns with rainbow lines
• Use the "pen" extension in Scratch
• Use variables that let the player change the thikness of the lines, and the color.



Asteroids

Another game I made was an Asteroids game! I learned how to code:

• Clones
• Spaceship velocity
• Broadcast and recieve messages
• A scoreboard
• A game over screen
• Asteroid velocity and rotation



Fruit Slicer

The Fruit Slicer game is my longest game ever. In it, I learned how to:

• Track cursor locations using lists.
• Draw a colored line that the player can use to slice the fruit
• Code a Health Display that decreases if you miss any fruit
