Here's a short review of the novel:
After reading this short novel for a book club, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the route the author - the famous Agatha Christie - took for the novel. I had a gut feeling on who the killer was, and I was right - but even so, the story allowed the reader to dig deep into their head to think ambitiously and find the killer out for themselves. And Then There Were None didn’t have the most amazing characters, or the most engaging plot, but I was thoroughly entertained and curious, which is what I think the author set out to do when she put a pencil to paper and wrote this novel. The way the book is structured and set out gave me survival and thriller vibes, despite its olden feel (it was published during the 20th century). In other words, I liked some of the characters, respected the setting, but most of all, I devoured the plot for what it was - a murder mystery and thriller combination with the tinge of a survival book.
