Here’s a short summary of City of Brass:
A trickster, who doubles down as a con-woman, makes profits through her fake fortune-telling. Set in a world full of djinn and cities of metal - gold, silver, and brass - this character must team up with a reluctantly ruling prince and a demon with poison on his tongue.
Here's a short review of the novel:
I don’t remember too much of the book, but what I do remember was excellent. This novel had complex characters that had more than one shade of good or right - they were characters with opinions and ideas that differed and set each character apart from each other. This proved to be a good device for the author to use because it allowed the reader to engage heartily into the tale between these three diverse characters. The setting was Middle-Eastern, and it felt very realistic, even though it was a fantasy novel that was full of supernatural or paranormal spirits, djinn (which are like genies), and beings of old and dark depths.
