Here’s a short summary of Devils Unto Dust:

In a dystopian society in the future - where money, food, and life is hard - a bounty hunter is forced to pay her own father’s debt to save her sibling. Crossing through territories of dessert and sun, she must gain enough money to free herself from the debt, meanwhile dealing with her cruel, cruel society and the life she lives in it - including how she put her childhood aside for the promise of survival.

Here's a short review of the novel:

This story was gripping, like being on the edge of a long-held cliff, almost falling but not quite. The story followed someone who had goals, was determined, and knew what she wanted; this gave her an aesthetic of strength, making her not exactly complex but nice to read about. The sibling was sweet and kind; the villain - their father - was cruel and unfair, not caring about anything in this messed-up future society. The setting of a desert and barren landscape was really different and unique, making it a little special compared to the other dystopian books about controlling governments - as this book has a society run by the strong fist of anarchy.
