Welcome, beginner friendly and made for first time pet owners, Not only for first time owners but for those searching for a forever friend!
We all love these cute and cuddly little animals! So here is a little information about them.
1. There are around 600 million cats around the world
2. A cat's purr can help heal bones.
3. Cats know they are cute.
4. Cats can't taste sweet things.
Okay, we've finished that part, but, many may be wondering, how can I care for a cat? Or how can I make sure it isn't aggresive towards me?
Well, this section is for you, you may be a person who thinks all cats are mean and moody, or maybe the person who understands cats have boundaries and just need time.
Let's get started with some questions.
Many people believe they do, but the answer is actually no, cats aren't always going to land on their feet. Cats are agile creatures and they can get badly injured if they fall the wrong way, even if they do land from a high fall, they can still have injuries to their legs and back.
The answer is obvious, no, why is that okay? Just like dogs, cats can get seperation anxiety, many feel cats are loners or hate affection but the thing is they do like those things, just because cats have a different way of showing apprectation from dogs does not mean they are bad, cats may crave attention aswell, they need to be properly cared for just like any other pet.
As some of us have heard from Dawn LaFontaine, "mammals are born with the ability to drink from their mother's milk, this is because their body have the enzyme lactase which breaks down the lactose protein, when kittens accostum from foods other than their mother's milk, their body stops producing this enzyme, so if you fed it milk it'd be more likely to cause an upset stomach, making diarhhea and vomiting."
The answer is no, the reason why some cats may dislike bathing is because they aren't as "waterproof" as dogs, their constant grooming to keep fur oil-free and fluffy makes water easier to soak in and make them cold if they get fully wet, though, cats do not hate water, many cats are interested and so are kittens, some splash the water or dipping paws in a tub or sink, many also like when the water goes down and they can play/ drink it.
A few of us may be struggling to get a cat to like or bond with us, and you may be trying to make it like you, so here are a few ways.
Just like humans or any other mammal, we may need some space to ourselves, it's good to respect how your cat feels and make sure you don't try to force it to play and snuggle with you, if you do, the cat may get a bit upset and try to give you signs to back away, and if you continue, it'll lead to the cat getting "aggresive" Which is really just what happens if you don't properly care for your cat or cause it to back away from you.
