Physicians are people who focus on their patients' health by diagnosing, studying, and treating patient injuries. They aren't usually involved in surgical matters, but it depends on what they're specialized in.

Job Description

Physicians examine their patients, take their medical histories, develop treatment plans, perform physical exams, and counsel their patients on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
They can be found in clinical and non-clinical settings. Clinical settings can include hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and more. They work long shifts, working up to 40 hours per week. They have to be on call, and at the ready when a patient is in need. They have flexible schedules that can require them to travel to a nursing home to treat or diagnose a patient.
