There are many famous swimmers in America and in other countries! Some of these swimmers include Nick Fink, Katie Ledecky, Ariane Titmus, Michael Phelps, Caeleb Dressel, Tori Huske, the Walsh twins (Alex and Gretcen), Summer McIntosh, and Reagan Smith.
Many people may think that swimmers only swim every four years at the Olympics, but that is not true. Swimmers are constantly training, and many fast swimmers swim at meets such as Nationals, Big 10 Championships, the TYR Pro Swim Series, and World Championships.
Katie Ledecky is an especially fast swimmer who is always improving her times. Recently she became the first woman to ever swim a 1650 Yard Freestyle in under 15 minutes. Her official time was 14:59.62 minutes, which may seem like a long time, but it is actually extremely fast for swimming a whole mile! She averaged under 30 seconds for every single 50 she swam.
