Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave is located in Mammoth Cave National Park, part the hilly country of south central Kentucky. It is the world's longest cave system, with over 400 miles of it already explored. Legend has it that a hunter discovered it in 1797 while following a wounded bear.

400,000 people take tours every year,making this a very popular cave tour. The cave has a constant temperature of 54 degrees Farenheit year round, although this can vary close to entrances to the cave.
