Woodwind

Woodwind instruments are a family of musical instruments. All woodwind instruments require the player to blow into the instrument. The air is then split onto a sharp edge which then produces sound.

Almost all woodwind instruments also use reeds; however, there are some exceptions. Despite the name, woodwind instruments can also be made of materials other than wood. Silver, steel, and even brass can be made into woodwind instruments.

Here is the list of main instruments in the Woodwind group. Click on each one to learn more about them!
