The tee pee is a native amercan shelter that was mainly used on the great plains,but you can build in a warmer climate.The reason you would build it in a warmer climate is because the walls aren't that thick and won't hold heat as well as outher shelters you could build.



Short term

There are lots of short term shelters you can use if you need to stay somewere for the night.

• Lean to

  The lean to is a shelter that you could build in a few minutes that could keep the rain off ,and if you were to put a reflecter blanket on the frame it could keep you warmer.

• Aframe

  The Aframe shelter is a shelter that would take a little longer to build but would keep you warmer than the lean to if you didn't have a fire.
