To make matters worse, her archnemisis Valley and an overly chatty new girl named Thorn are placed in the Spare coven with her. On top of that, Seven can't seal herself in her coven with the manditory spell. Suddenly, Seven finds herself embarking on the Impossible Task that will seal her into her coven if completed. Will Seven find a way to befriend her new coven members and solve the Impossible Task? Or will she be punished by being turned into a toad forever?
The book Squished is a realistic fiction graphic novel about a girl named Avery in a family with seven kids. Avery feels cramped and overwhelmed with so many kids in the family, especially when she has to share a room with them. All Avery wants is her own room. So when her brother gets his own room instead of her, Avery is extremely disapointed. Determined, Avery sets off to raise money to get a room of her own in the basement. This is a heartfelt, funny, and beautifully illustrated graphic novel for middle grade readers.
Aru Shah and the End of Time is a Rick Riordan presents novel based on Hindu mythology. The main character, Aru, is an average 8th grade kid in New Jersey. Or so she thought. Suddenly, after lighting a cursed lamp out of peer pressure, Aru has put the entire world in jeopardy. Plus, she also figures out that she is an ancient hero born again and has four soul siblings just like her! Together, with one of her soul sisters named Mini, she must battle the Sleeper to save the only world she's ever known. This book is hillarious, packed with amazing mythological stories, and also a terrific read.
