Instructions
Once you've gathered all the materials and ingredients, you're now ready to make a carrot cake ~~
- Prior to creating the batter, set the oven at 350 F degrees.
- Grate one pound of carrots and set them aside.
We'll begin the batter now! - In a large bowl,gather all the dry ingredients and mix.Includes:spices, flour, baking powder / soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix all the wet ingredients. Includes: oil, apple sauce, yogurt / sour cream, eggs, sugar, and vanilla ex.
- Combine both mixtures into one.Then, add the grated carrots.
- Assemble all the ingredients that are custom to your carrot cake recipe; I added pecans and raisins to mine.You can prepare them by coating them in flour to avoid the ingredients from sinking to the bottom of the cake.
- Now that the batter is complete, prepare the cake pans with parchment paper or oil to ease the process of removing the cake, after being baked.
- Add the batter, equally, to both 8-inch cake pans and place them in the oven for fourty to fourty-five minutes.
In the meantime, we'll make the cream cheese frosting!
- In your bowl, add the cream cheese and butter and mix using a hand-mixer to create one substance.
- Once the mixture has become creamy and smooth, add powdered sugar, little by little.
