In a volleyball game the setter sets a pass to one of the hitters on the court. Setters will usually get the second ball and they have many choices to decide on who gets the third ball. They have the choice of setting the outside, middle, or opposite hitters to kill the ball and get points. Setters use their hands and their position is in the front row. Setterswill be pulled up from the backrow by another player so they can set whe the other team is serving. Lastly, setters can tip the ball which is when the ball is passed very close to the net, they do it by jumping up and lightly hitting the ball with their fingertips over the net.
