Monkey D. Luffy is the main character in this anime. He is a man who travels with his crew through the grand line to find the legendary treasure "The One Piece." Throughout his journey, he continuously fights many foes much stronger than him. But in the end, he always seems to escape or defeat his foes in some lucky kind of way. Luffy is a Devil fruit user. He uses a paramecia type fruit called the "Gomu Gomu no mi," translating to Gum Gum fruit. This fruit gives Luffy the power to stretch his limbs to much extent. It also makes his' body have the quality of rubber. Luffy is not the smartest of the bunch, but he is a very creative man. He uses his creativity as an advantage in battles. His journey is still going on, but I believe one day he will find the One Piece.
