Story

In short: It is set in 1960s France following the story of a lively waiter named Rody trying to make as much money as possible in a week at a fancy bistro owned by a charismatic and successful chef, Vincent.

Canon Facts about the characters

Rody

  1. Rody is canonicly a horrible cook and mannages to burn or ruin anything. if, while in Rodys apartment, you interact with the stove, he will say "thats the last time I ever try making cereal"
  2. He could accidently break your arm in a arm wrestling match
  3. Rody is much stronger then he looks dispite eating mainly fast food
  4. Rody's name is Rody Lamoree
  5. Rody is surprisingly good at singing
  6. hes had 28 service indistry jobs in the last 7 years
  7. His birthday is Febuary 14th
  8. Rody cant tie his tie for work
  9. Rody is extremely divoted. Rachel admited that Rody would have hid a body for Manon.
  10. Rody is cannonicly Bisexual with a heavy lean towards women, also displaying biphobic tendencys as it is 1970's france and people werent exactly supportive.
  11. He had a childhood dog named 'Brie.'
  12. The guitar in his possession was originally used by his father to propose to his mother and was later gifted to him with the expectation of a similar romantic gesture.
  13. He tends to clean his apartment exclusively when anticipating his girlfriend's visit.
  14. Following the events of Ending 3, he then struggles with consuming meat and experiences vomiting.
  15. In Ending 1, he unintentionally eats Manon
  16. He is often on the receiving end of breakups in relationships.
  17. At the dinner party, Rody takes a very noticeable disliking towards Vincent's bathtub.
  18. His last name, “Lamoree” is similar to the french word for love, “L’amour”, as fitting for his theme of love, adding on that his birthday is on Valentine's Day

Vincent

  1. Vincent doent seem to mind when Rody calls him "Vince
  2. His birthday is October 16th
  3. Vincent is canonically gay.
  4. He has a penchant for lemons as his favorite food because the tangy sensation on his tongue vaguely resembles a taste.
  5. Vincent's culinary creations are objectively good, but Rody dislikes them due to the perceived lack of love infused in the dishes.
  6. Vincent harbors insecurities about the absence of emotional depth in his food.
  7. The reward dishes presented at the end of shifts are exclusively crafted by Vince, not the chefs, and are specifically tailored for Rody.
  8. The people resembling Vincent in the office picture are his parents.
  9. Vincent was in a tipsy state, having consumed wine in his office before the chase scene.
  10. Despite his disliking for the rat, Vincent generally exhibits kindness towards animals.
  11. Vincent had around 2 exes before initiating the breakups, expressing discomfort with being dumped.
  12. He processes all his food into smoothies as the texture of solid food grosses him out.
  13. Vincent had consumed worms during his childhood.

  15. After consuming Rody in Ending 4, he did not experience any taste and becomes haunted by the realization that he had killed two people.

  17. After slashing Vincents neck open if you clickon his body it will say that his eyes are still following you. meaning he mighteve been alive when Rody burnt down the resturant and Vincents apartment
  18. During the dinner party, when Vincent finds you snooping around his room he holds his hand behind his back constantly and the knife previously on the cutting board was gone, signaling that Vincent had the knife behind his back and mightve used it on Rody. luckly he didnt

Manon

  1. Manon can cook, but it always comes out bitter
  2. Manons parents are food critics
  3. She enjoys baking even if her pastrys come out bitter

Endings explained

Ending 1: Table for One

This ending is when you go through every day without going to the freezer. this is the ending where you get to the end with no problems. during the ending cutscene, Rody is in a phonebooth trying to repeatedly call Manon. begging her to pick up even though she cant.

Ending 2: Best Served Cold

This ending is where you play through the days, and go to the dinner party, until day 7. then you go into the freezer without the matches equip and end up dying by Vincents hand

Ending 3: Best Served Hot

This ending is where you go into the freezer with the matches equip and burn your way out of the ropes Vincent put on you. then you leave the freezer and end up getting your ear eaten by Vincent and it starts a chase scene. the chase scene causes a vary of questions to be flung at Vincent by Rody and can end up in the Abattoir ending or you can end up cutting Vincents neck with a broken wine bottle from his office and burning the restuant, aswell as his house as it is above the bistro

Ending 4: Abattoir

This is the ending where you fail to meet the daily quota every day and dont go in the freezer. this ending is the ending that Vince cooks Rody like he did Manon and eats him. this ending also happen in the chase scene if you fail to push Vincent away
