Clean Water and Sanitation
Water Droplet

"We must learn to use and clean our ocean efficiently to sustain a healthy environment."

Why are there problems with water purification and sanitation?

Cleansing Earth

While considerable progress has been made in increasing access to clean drinking water and sanitation, billions of people still lack these services. It is also estimated that 673 million people still practice open defecation. The importance for sanitation, hygiene, and access to clean water has only increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the World Health Organization, handwashing is one of the most effective actions you can take to reduce the spread of infections, bacteria, viruses, and pathogens. Although it is important to wash your hands and practice safe hygiene, billions of people still lack safe water sanitation. According to UN.org, 2.2 billion people around the world still lack safely managed drinking water, including 785 billion without basic drinking water.

How you can do something or others can do something for a change? Well some organizations can have governments be held more accountable and more responsible with water research, development and overall supply of basic clean water for people they also need to promote some sort of way to help excluded groups like woman, the youth, and indigenous communities in water resources. The main factor of also helping in general is making others general of the cause as well spreading awareness of the issue helps generate ideas of more ways to help to get more power to help. More ways to help is to start campaigns like to more aware of how you use water and more aware of the numbers that water is used and find more ways to spread more campaigns in your communities. Finally help just look into more information about water resources helping create solutions to help this cause why it is such a problem in the first place? Why some other factors factor over others? Why it is it such a difficult problem in present day? Just to be more aware about others than yourself and people around you.
