Music began about six thousnad BCE. The first instrument that was found during the time was a rock and drumsick. People believed that this was the Neolithic form of a drum. The next instrument found was a string intrument that had horse hair for strings, if they touched it a certain way it would make a deep growling like noise. It was believed that it was used to scare away any predators in the nearby area.
By now it's 4000 BCE in Egypt where they have created Flutes and harps. It's impressive that we use the same methods of making these instauments nearly 6000 years later.
