Juliette is pregnant and struggling, Kenji is still suffering from the heartbreak of Nazeera breaking up with him, and now he's bringing in a traitor to base.
For the first half of the series, we know her as Juliette Ferrars, but around book four, we learn her name is actually Ella Sommers, and her memory was wiped by the Reestablishment. Juliette has lethal touch to both physical objects and people, though she learns to control it throughout the series. She is partners with Adam Kent for the first book and half of the second, and then she dates Aaron Warner for the rest of the series. She's best friends with Kenji Kishimoto.
Aaron, known as Warner to most, is the Chief Commander and Regent of Sector 45. He's son of Paris Anderson, the Supreme Commander of North America, and Liela Warner. He grew up abused by his father while his mother slowly died of her own powers. He dates Juliette Ferrars and ends up getting married to her in the final novella of the series. His powers are to channel other peoples powers and sense emotions.
Kenji is best friend to Juliette, having helped her and Adam on their escape from the Reestablishment. He has a strained relationship with Warner and is the clown of the group, making it his constant goal to make people laugh. He had a rough childhood, and has invisibility powers. He dates Nazeera Ibrahim, although they part ways before the spin-off series.
Although she isn't introduced to the series until the fourth book, Nazeera is an extremely important character to the Shatter Me series. She has invisibility, like Kenji, but she can also fly. She is the daughter of the Supreme Commander of Asia, and has a brother named Haider. She wears a hijab to represent the people who cannot, since the Reestablishment has ruled all religious clothing illegal. She can do just about anything. Except fly a plane.
Adam Kent is probably the most hated character of the whole series. And he's not even the bad guy. His power is to disable and mute other peoples powers. However, it drains him, and this leads to the end of Juliette and his relationship, since her lethal touch is weakening him when he has to mute it. He does everything for his younger brother, James, and gives up his own health for his brother. In the spin-off series, he is married to Alia, and has two young twins, Gigi and Roman. He is half brother to Warner.
James doesn't play much of a role in the original series, since he's only ten at the beginning of the series, but he's the main character in the spin-off series, wanting to prove he's no longer a child to his older brothers. His love interest is Rosabelle Wolff, though the story hasn't progressed far enough yet to get anymore information on them.
