Remember that brand that made one of the frist portable computers? That brand is Compaq, a legind in the computer bissness, untill it was not. Lets dive in to the companys history, and what led them to there eventual buing by Hewwlet-Packerd.
Compaq was fuded in 1982 by Rod Canion, Jim Harris, and Bill Murto. They used to be senior managers from the semiconductor Texas Instruments.
Now there first product was actally not a standerd computer, it was a portable computer! More of a luggable, then a laptop. Here a picture:
