The outside hitter position is one of the most important players in the game of volleyball. Outside hitters are responsible for most of the points in games and are the most aggressive on the court. There's two other hitter positions called the middle and opposite hitter but setters argue that outside is the easiest position on the court to set and the most probable person to get points.
The outside hitter stands on the left side of the net in the front and blocks the opposite on the other side. They're usually the taller players and they have higher verticals.
