After Bill Cipher was defeated by some children, he wasn't able to acess the unviverse of Gravity Falls, or any fictional media for that matter due to pretty much being banned from the multiverse. In 2030, however, he was able to have a child with a woman(?) named Y/N, and had Derol, he made Derol so Derol could go back to Feburary 15th, 2016 and stop the litteral children from stoping Bill's plans, however, Bill screwed up and sent Darol to April 3rd 33 AC, the day Jesus was crusified. (or a few days before? Idk man, depends who you ask)
Due to Darol's time malfuntion, he is able to travel through the multiverse at will, when he figured this out at the ripe age of 18, he went around exploring new places and learning new things as well as outrunning the time police.
Okay, so about the time police thing. A lot of universes in the multiverse have a time police, and most are out to stop Derol due to Derol being a time anomaly, and for being created to destroy the world (and multiverse). Derol, however, doesn't deal with any problems involving this until later
Darol gets arrested for his time crimes, and murder by a reverse "2p" AU. This socitey of angels brings Darol to court where he met his fiance/husband Please Help Him, who's full name is Please Help Him No Seriously Oh God. Though he goes by Alastor, or Two.
Two helped Darol get through the court case, as they were both madly in love with each other, and thats when Darol decided he would dedicate his life to Two. Darol decided that he had traveled the world enough and was ready to settle down with Please Help Him. They helped each other cope with their childhood trauma, and Darol began killing people's family's in order to make money for Darol, and Two's wedding.
Also, Gmail marked Darol as spam two times so Gmail doesn't like Derol either.
Darol traveled through many lands, and timelines. But he always had his purpose in the back of his mind. Derol always worried he wouldn't be able to fufill his purpose for his father, and help his father. Derol feared he wouldn't want to. Derol also wished he could just know if his father really loved him, and where his mother is, these things impact Derol's life greatly.
With the help of his boyfriend, and the help of his travels, Darol learned how to control his emotions. It's just- a shame he doesn't use it to stop himself from murding people's families.
