Toko Fukawa was born in a family where money was tight. She had two mothers and one father. To make her upset or as miserable as they could they tried to drown her and locked her up in a dark closet. Whenever she was locked up in the closet she would always write which helped her become an amazing wirter. Locking her in the dark closet and trying to drown her resulted in her being afraid of water and the dark. It also made her brain form another personality called Genocider Jack. (Her DID is not an accurate form of it, nor is it portrayed correctly.) Genocider used Toko's body to kill men and hang them by their hands with scissors. Since Toko never had anyone who loved or particularly liked her, she grew an attachment with those who shared even a little bit of kindness. She became obsessed with Togami, but Togami hates her because she reminds him of his sister.
Toko is a timid and insecure girl. Genocider on the other hand has this chaotic and annoying personality. Toko allows people to take advantage of her, but Genocider does not and she always seems to outsmart people. In the second trial (I think) Togami revealed to everyone that Genocider was there and tried to frame her for the murder.
Considering how Toko grew up, she never had any friends because she was always to scared to bathe and often smelt gross. The only friends she really had were the other survivors of the tragedy, but they left her because of Genocider. Her first real friend was the main character sister and she met her in the game Ultra Despair Girls which was a sequel to the original game. Komaru and her quickly become best friends.
I'd say her goal is to get into Future Foundation since she wasn't allowed because she was a serial killer. So she and Genocider are both trying to desperately stop killing people.
Toko caught my attention because of Genocider Jack. I never payed attention to her in V1, but when she made her presence in UDG I began to like her a whole lot more because I realized how interesting her character is.
