When I'm choosing colors for my final art pieces I think about what mood I'm trying to create. Considering the mood I want in my piece I think about what colors might help with carrying th mood. I also think about what color schemes would suit the theme too.
When I'm choosing a medium for a piece I have to think about what would best suit the style or mood I'm aiming for. And if I'm using a combination of mediums I don't know if they will work together, I have to think of the best way colors might help to ensure the best possible outcome and substitute out a medium that wouldn't work.
