It was 2015 when it all started and technology was booming at this time. All these new smartphones came out and everyone loved them. However, most people didn't know how they worked. I decided to analyze these smartphones to find out. I consider the past to be split into 3 chapters.
These 3 chapters defined my journey for me and shaped the path that I took on my journey.
Like I said, it was 2015 when technology started to boom and I knew nothing about coding. When I found out smartphones contained code in them, I wanted to find out what kind of code. I started to discover that it was HTML that was the code so I wanted to learn more about it (surprise surprise I never did until now). After I found out it contained code, I started to do research about how smartphones are created and then I stumbled upon how software engineers code for a living and even work at Google or Apple to create these phones. And that made me decide what I wanted to do in my future.
Go forward in time to 2017, and I virtually knew nothing at all. I wanted to be a software engineer, that desire was still deep within me. However, school and everything really made me feel as if I had no time to be a software engineer. Time was getting harder to manage. Homework and schoolwork started piling up. On top of that, my friends pressured me to do some other job that is more "financially stable" for me. My family was pushing me to do what I want but at this point I didn't know. The desire was slowly fading away.
Then I decided that I wanted to do something about it, I learned to manage my time. Homework became easier for me, I went from a D+ to a straight A student in no time in middle school and I transitioned into high school thinking that it was going to be easy. I was mostly correct. But that is a story for another time. And that time would come. Software engineering now became clear to me, I wanted to do that and now I learned how to do that. But before actually learning how to code, I watched videos on how experiences of software engineers are like and I heard some really good things. That inspired me to become one and my parents pushed me to do that. Now one thing that I can do is starting to learn how to code. But that didn't come until the year 2019, the present day.
I barely know anything because I was going to wait until I was in my computer science class in high school before I learned how to code.
I was thinking of working at Google or some other big-shot company but then I realized how competitive it is so I am thinking of going somewhere else to work.
