Cats: the purrfect pet (excuse the pun)

Cats are clearly one of the best pets. Dogs became pets because they helped people hunt and did triks and junk. I don't even know why some people like fish and stuff like that. Birds are pets because they might talk I guess? But not cats. Cats literally only lie around and purr. They are cute enough that the fact that they are completely useless doesn't even matter. They literally were considered gods. They are clearly the better pet then some random fish or lizard.
