Note: chaperones will depart from the check-in area at 5:15 AM. All late arrivals will need to transit to the gate on their own.
Baggage limits:
One check in bag/suitcase: 50 pound limit...BUT WE SUGGEST all travelers only use carry-on if possible
One carry on bag (can not exceed 22"x15"x9"). Carry on bag should have one to two changes of clothes, medications, snacks, green travel packet, phone charger, money, passport.
One personal item (purse, tote, backpack)
If possible, try to limit baggage to one checked bag and one backpack.
Travelers are responsible for any baggage fees imposed by the airline. United allows one free checked bag, one free carry on and one free personal item.
General departure procedure:
Arrive at BWI by 4:30 AM.
Check yourself into United. The e ticket number will be emailed. All you need is your passport to check in.
- Check in with one of the Chaperones (Mrs. Stender, Mr. Moore, Mr. Forney, Mr. Mroczka, Mr. Munson, Mr. Chon) near the Uniuted check in counter.
Wait for other travelers to arrive and check in.
Students without a parent/guardian will travel thru security in small groups with a traveler 18 or over or chaperone.
Students with parents/guardians may navigate the airport with their parents/guardians.
Go to departure gate and check in with Brian Moore. He will have a sign.
Explore the departure gate/concourse as desired until 5:45 AM.
At 5:45 AM group up with your check in groups to make sure everyone is here.
We will then board in our boarding zones.
Find your seat.
Arrival in San Francisco
Depart the airplane.
Students without a parent/guardian: hang out near the arrival gate until EVERYONE in your check in group has debarked the plane.
Group up with check in groups.
Walk with check in group to the next gate.
(Note: students traveling with their parent/guardian may navigate the airport transfer on their own)

Arrival in Osaka
Depart the airplane
Hang out near the arrival gate until EVERYONE in your check in group has debarked the plane.

Walk with check in group to passport control.
Wait on the other side of passport control for your whole group. DO NOT walk ahead to baggage. Wait for your whole group.
Walk with check in group to baggage.
Grab baggage.
Group up in your check in groups.
Get on the bus and start the tour!

At 9:00 AM, group up with your check in groups to make sure everyone is here.
We will then board in our boarding zones.

Arrival in Chicago
Depart the airplane.
Students without a parent/guardian: hang out near the arrival gate until EVERYONE in your check in group has debarked the plane.
Group up with check in groups.
Walk with check in group to the next gate.
