There many different types of clothes you can put on a character. Long coats, school uniform, swim wear, formal, and many others. When drawing the clothes you can be a creative as you want. You can make the clothes reflect the person's personality or not even close. Most have their character's(s') personality close to their clothes. For more detail you can add wrinkles to the cloths or make the clothes dirty. You can also add designs and logos to the shirts to make them look like clothes people would wear.

If you are bad at drawing arms, legs, or hands, there is an easy way to get around the problem. When you see some charcaters you don't see the arms because they coverd up by a jacket, komono, or they are behind the character's back. if you want to cover the arms, legs, or ahnds you can use a kimono. Kimonos can also help because their long wide sleeves can hide the arms of the charcter. The kimonos' skirt can hide the legs if you can't draw legs.

There are many ways of drawing the bosy before drawing the person but they all have something in common, they shouldn't be boxy. The body is curved so your person shouldn't be boxy or having sharp angles and lines. These can be used for both males and female, but there are some differences.
