The face of the character can be very important because it can help define what the chacter does. If a chacter has scars on there face, people will assume that the person gets in a lot of fights. if the character eyes are big, people could assumme that they are nice or niave.

There are different types of mouths you can make. Happy, sad, mad, frightened, ect. They all have a basic design, thin lines. Most anime mouths are just a simple line, but some have many lines. Some have a complex design, lines on the lips and shadow.

A lot of anime faces have a basic design, but some will add a twist to it and mak ethem more pointed than round. If you want a basic one you'll have first make a cross shape, lightly. Then connect the cross lines with curved lines. after that you can go over the lines darker and erase the cross shape in the middle of the face.

Eyes can show the character emotions, angry, happy, sad, ect. They all are different sizes. You can make a character happy by giving them large bright eyes. You can make them angry by giving them smaller more pointed eyes. To make one who is shy you can make their eyes curved and big. Any you do the eyes you can add different colors, you can even make them half one color and half another.
