The Axis Powers were known as the "bad guys" during WW2. They Axis powers during their height in 1942 were so unstoppable. They were finally defeated in 1945 when the US dropped two atomic bombs on ther cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, ending the war. Now when people think of the Axis they think of Germany and Japan, and little Italy being a failure, but the story is different.
