About Musical Instrument

A musical instrument is a device created or adapted to make musical sounds. A person who plays a musical instrument is known as an instrumentalist.

First musical instrument I have learnt to play was Yangchen and it was gifted on my 7th birthday by my parents.I have started to learn from my father few of the tunes and for more, i use to visit father's friend Uncle Tshering Norbu and play his bigger version Yangchen.

I can also play Dramnyen.Dramnyen is a 7 stringed Bhutanese lute belonging to the plucked category of instruments. I have learnt to play Dramnyen from my father recently and could pickup within three days because the bits were similar to Yanchen

While playing musical instrument one should also know the songs such as Boedra, Zhungdra and Rigsar so I was trained to sing those traditional songs when was 5 years old by my father. He is my inspiration I should proudly say.
