Pecan Browine Pie

Ingredients

  1. 1 crust from 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Pie Crusts (2 Count), softened as directed on box
  2. 1 box (1 lb 2.3 oz) fudge brownie mix Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  3. 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  4. 3/4 cup pecan halves
  5. 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  7. 1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps

1 Heat oven to 350°F. Place pie crust in 9-inch glass pie plate as directed on box for One-Crust Filled Pie.

2 Make brownie mix as directed on box, using water, oil and eggs. Pour batter into crust-lined plate. Bake 45 minutes.

3 In medium bowl, mix chopped pecans, pecan halves, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Sprinkle pecan mixture over partially baked pie.

4 Bake 15 minutes longer or until center is set, covering crust edges with foil to prevent excessive browning if necessary. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 2 hours.
