"Among Us" is a social deduction video game that has climbed up the charts and became number one just like other games. "Fortnite" and "Fall Guys" to name a few. It was made by the company Innersloth who is very popular for it's game series "Henry Stickman". It was originally releases on June 15, 2018 but only recently this July did it become popular engrossing thousands of people.
"Among Us" is super easy to get! The most common and easiest way to get it is to use your app store on your phone or moblie device for free, it is however not available on kindles. It is can also be purchased for PC on steam for $5. Currently it is only available on mobile and PC and has little hope of reaching console players but in this age where almost everyone has a phone, it isn't that big of a problem.

You might know a little about this game from your friends or on social media but you still might be confused. A basic explanation of this game is space mafia. If you are familiar with the game "Mafia", "Among Us" should be a breeze and all you should need to learn are the controls. "Among Us" a social deduction game like "Mafia" and "Werewolf".
There are 2 teams, the crewmate and the impostors. The crewmates are trying to do tasks and repair the ship while trying to figure out who the impostors are. The impostors are trying to sabatoge the ship and kill the crewmates.
The game has many settings so your games may vary but usually people like a lobby of 10 people with 2 impostors. There are also multiple maps but the one titled "The Skeld" is the most popular. You can change the range of sight or how fast the characters can move. Just play around with the settings and see which ones you like!
Like I said before the settings depend on who is the host so you can only change them if you host a game. If you don't want to host a game you can join a public lobby or join one that is on your local network.In the game there is a chat box but some people perfer to to talk to people so they use an app called discord. You can get discord for free and trying to get a invite code to a server to play with people. Just remember not to give private information away.
When the game starts you are told wether you are a crewmate or an impostor. There are rounds and in each one the crew must go across the map to do tasks while the impostors try to fake tasks and kill. The round ends when someone reports a dead body or calls an emergancy meeting. The remaining players then discuss who they think the impostor is or why it is not them, and then can either vote a player out or skip to gain more info in the next round.
This repeats until the game ends in either a crewmate win or a impostor win. Just remember the game has many settings so games may vary depending on who the host of the game is. For example, in a 10 person lobby game (10 people is the max) you can 1-3 impostors!
I couldn't cover everything because I would be here all day but if you want to learn more or get better, play the game! This game involves a lot of experience so play the game as much as you can. There is a freeplay mode where you can get familiar with the maps and the tasks. I highly recommend spending time in there. You can also go on youtube and forums to get tips and tricks. Just remeber to stay safe in servers but most importantly, have fun!
