A person that plays defense is called a defender. Their job in soccer is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposing team from scoring goals.There is usally 2 defenders on your left and right, and sometimes even 3. This is my favoite position, and I play this position everytime because Its what I am more experinced in, and this is the postion I play the best. My experince while playing is a 10/10.
Someone that plays offense is a offender. Their job is to get past the other teams defenders and score a goal. There are many different offenders such as forwards, midfielders, right wing,and left wings. I had to play this position once.I was a right wing, and I did a bad job.I almost did score a goal though.I was so confused. Luckyily I only had to play for like 2 minutes. My experience playing is a 5/10.
Finally we have the goalie. Whoever wathces or are inside the goal is a goalie. Their job is to to prevent the opposing team from scoring. They are the only players in soccer that can touch the ball with thier hands. I believe this is the most important job in the game, because its all about you stopping the ball so your team can win.The soccer team I was playing with, made each person try goalie atleast once. It was finally my turn and I was like no, and I was about to cry, but they still made me try it out anyway. While I was in goal the other team scored on me 3 times. Thats when they knew that goalie was not for me. The only good thing that came out of it was when I punted the ball because it almost went into the other goal.My experience playing is a 0/10.
