Money Problems

Ben is a 19 year old living on his own, he has been working at this pizza place for a while now and it has paid the bills. But Ben sees his rent has gone up and he can’t afford it anymore unless he makes more money, he thinks he should try to get a new job, He is thinking on how he could do this, so he goes and looks for good paying jobs He has 4 options…

1 Mcdonalds, 2 BurgerKing, 3 Chick Fil a, 4 Red Robin,

1--He decides to go to Mcdonalds and see how much they pay, after school the next day he takes a trip to Mcdonalds, and he asks the manager how much they pay, the manager tells Ben that they pay $15 dollars an hour. Ben thinks about it but remembers that his old job paid $16.30 an hour so he would be in worse condition if he worked at Mcdonalds, so he needs to find a different job,

2--Ben decides to go to Burger King to see how much they pay, so on the weekend he goes to Burger King and asks to talk to the manager, after a few minutes the manager comes out and Ben askes, how much he would get paid, and the manager say $17.50 an hour, Ben thinks about this and knows he would be making $1.20 more and hour if he worked here, so this could be his new job, but he checks out the other ones just in case

3--Ben decides to check out Chick Fil A to see how much they pay, so that night he goes to Chick Fil A and asks one of the workers the starting wage, they say it is $14.90 an hour, Ben thinks about this but knows this won’t work because it is much less than his last job that paid $16.30 an hour. So he leaves

4--Ben decides to go to Red Robin to see how much they pay, so after school he stops by Red Robin and asks how much they pay, and one of the waiters tell him it is $18 an hour, he thinks about this and know this is almost $3 more an hour than his pizza job, so he thinks this is the best option for him to work, and he signs up for an interveiw

The interview

He takes the job at Red Robin, and that saturday he goes in for an interview, he thinks he is ready and will get hired, when he gets there, The manager says, “Hello Ben, take a seat, so you want to work here, correct?”“Yes I do” Ben replies,“Do you have any previous experience?” the manager asks, Then Ben tells him about his pizza job and how he didnt like it, and a few questions later the interview ends.“You got the job” thee manager tells Ben,“you’ll start on monday” “thank you,i'll be there”Ben replies.

Monday

On Monday, he comes to work and the manager shows him what he will be doing for now, washing dishes, picking up tabel after people leave, and stuff like that. Ben start to get the hang of it and even likes it too, its better than his old job, and he’s getting paid more. So ben quits his pizza job and works here full time.

His new life

Ben works hard at his new job and after a few months he even gets a raise, so now he can afford his rent comfortably, and have enough to save for a new car. Ben likes this job and doesn’t plan to leave it anytime soon.
