Three Fun Facts About Howard Bach

Bach's father took him to the Golden Gate YMCA in San Francisco's Tenderloin District when he was five. It was here that over the next 11 years, Howard Bach would be coached by his father in badminton.

In his younger years, he was also coached by USA coach of the year, Dick Ng.

When Bach was sixteen, he decided to dedicate himself to Badminton. He moved to Colorado Springs to train at the U.S. Olympic Site.

How He Trains For Matches

He trained with his father and some other coaches when he was younger; when he got older he trained and played in matches with other gold medalists.

Medals

He didn't earn any medals for the Olympics, however, he's earned a good bit in other events. He's gotten seven gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals in all. The events were the World Championships, World Cup, Pan American Games, and Pan Am Championships. Though he normally just does men's doubles, in these it varied with Men's Doubles, Mixed doubles, and Men's singles.
